Dear Parents/Carers

Christingle Carol Service
We are all invited to attend this evening service at St Nicholas Church, Kittisford on Sunday 3rd December at 5.30pm. Please let me know if your child will be coming along, as they will need to practice some prayers for the service. School uniform must be worn for the occasion.

Book Fair
I thought I would give you fair warning that the children will be dressing up as fictional book characters on one of the days during the week of the Book Fair (4th-8th December), so please start giving this some thought. I will let you know which day it will be in next week?s letter. The School Council will be running the fair, so I hope you will all come in and have a look at what they have to offer, at the end of the day.

Other Matters
·I have been notified by Taunton Deane Borough Council that the school will be used as a polling station for the Borough Council Elections, on Thursday 3rd May. The school will therefore be closed to the children that day.
·There are still plenty of fundraising tea towels available for sale at £3.50 each, or 3 for £10. The children are very proud of their artistic contributions towards the production of these, so I hope you will all buy at least one. An order form is attached if you would like to make a purchase.
·I have been told by one or two of the parents that Head Lice is a problem again. Can I ask you all to thoroughly check the children?s hair this weekend and treat them if necessary, so that we can get this under control quickly. Many thanks.
·I would also like to mention that one of the children in Class 1 was sick in school today, so there may be a bug going around. Please bear this in mind if your child complains of feeling sickly and keep them at home.

Reminders
·Please send in all remaining Tag Rugby and S.A.S.P. Club payments by Monday. Thank you.
·All remaining consent forms for the Class 2 visit to Ashill Primary on 5th December must be sent back by Thursday. It would be appreciated if your £2 contribution could be sent in at the same time as the form, to avoid confusion. We should be back at school for normal school end time on the day of the visit.
