Dear Parents/Carers
First of all, we would all like to welcome Byron into Year 6 in Class 2 and hope he will be very happy here at Stawley. I hope you all had a good half term break ? it seems so long ago already!
Sports Tournaments
·There is another football tournament this Monday 13th November at Heathfield, after school. As usual, we would be very grateful if anyone can assist with transport to the venue, so please see David if you can help. Please also remember to provide car seats where necessary.
·There is a also Rugby tournament after school on Thursday 16th at Taunton Rugby Club. Once again, please see David if you can help with transport.
After-School Clubs
·Golf Club is cancelled this Monday 13th Novemeber but will resume the following week.
·There will be no Cricket Club again next Tuesday but the club will continue as normal again from 21st November.
·Tag Rugby is still running on Wednesdays after school. If your child wants to take part, please complete and return the attached slip with your payment by the end of next week. Unfortunately, we have had to increase the cost per session to £2.50 per week as we only have the minimum numbers taking part.
·S.A.S.P. Club is continuing on Thursdays, although there is no club next Thursday 16th November, or on Thursday 7th December, due to other sports tournaments. The fee for this half term is £10 per child (5 sessions) but as two sessions were cancelled at short notice last half term, please only pay £6 this time if your child took part last time.
Forthcoming Events
·This year?s Christmas performance is called ?Sparkle?. The dress rehearsal will be on Friday 8th December and the actual performances on Monday 11th December (afternoon) and Tuesday 12th (evening), all at the Pavilion. More information to follow nearer the time!
·The children?s Christmas party will be on Monday 18th December (non-uniform).
·There will be another School Council fundraising day on the last day of term (Tuesday 19th December) ? details to follow in due course.
Reminders/Other Matters
·Thank you to all of you for your donations for the Harvest Festival and for coming along to our little service.
·The F.O.S.S. Halloween party went really well as always ? thank you to everyone who supported this. We have a couple of large green plastic platters and a navy baseball cap which were left behind that evening, so please call in at the office if these belong to you.
·If there are any more Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to come in, please let me have them by Tuesday morning, as they have to be taken to the collection point that day. Thank you.
·There is a F.O.S.S. meeting at The Globe next Thursday evening at 8pm ? all are welcome!
·Attached to today?s newsletter is a copy of the current Fair Processing Notice for your attention, which the LEA have asked us to distribute to all parents.
·There is also a Community Insurance flyer attached for anyone who may be renewing their household or car insurance shortly. This company is part of the ?equity? insurance group and they guarantee to beat your existing renewal quote. The school receives £25 for each policy taken up, so we would be very happy for you to try them!
