Dear Parents/Carers
ICT Courses
Some of you may remember that several months ago I asked you whether you might be interested in attending an ICT course here at the school. A number of you expressed interest at the time but I would now like to reassess how many people are serious and at what level tuition is required. The following courses are possibilities and I have given their typical durations:-
Computers for the Terrified and Curious 2 hours x 3 weeks
Introduction to Computers 2 hours x 11 weeks
Starting out with Computers 6 hour workshop
Keeping in Touch using e-mail and the
Internet 2 hours x 5 weeks
I have been told that we would need about 8 people to make any one course viable from a cost point of view, so if you, or anyone else you know in the community would like me to take this forward, please complete and return the slip below by the end of next week.
Ann Frank Performance
The children in years 5 and 6 will be taking part in the Ann Frank performance at Courtfields on Monday 17th July, along with children from the other schools in our Community Learning Partnership. This will be in the afternoon but I have not yet been advised of the exact time. Please complete and return the attached slip to confirm that your child may take part in this. We need one volunteer to help with transportation, so if you are available to come along that afternoon, please let me know. Thank you.
Book of excellence 26th-30th June
Abby For writing a good recount of the sponsored walk.
Jamie For concentrating and working quickly in Maths.
Jennifer Working hard to learn her words.
Arthur For always working hard and being helpful.
Harvey For excellent writing.
George, Inigo,
Pippa, Katy, Luke,
Gavin & Connor For an excellent Science investigation, making an insulated container.
Reminders/Other Matters
·Tim Bragg has very kindly offered to donate all further profits from his CD ?Skin, Strings, Cords and Chords? to the school. This can be purchased at the Post Office for £5.99, so please all buy a copy!
·Many thanks to all of you who raised money on the sponsored walk.
·Thank you for your orders for school photos. These have been sent off now and the photos should be with us shortly.
·If there are any orders from the Scholastic leaflet sent out 2 weeks ago, please send these in by Monday. Thanks.
